Permit: Known for its crab and shrimp diet. permit are most
comfortable in warmer water and make a great sight fishing
target. Seen tailing on the flats and schooling in deep wrecks
in Atlantic and Gulf Waters.

Snook: An agressive fish fond of structure and cover. Snook are
ambush feeders preying on mullet, pilchards, shrimp and other bait.
Will readily hit artificial baits. Excellent for LIght to medium tackle
and fly fishing.
Redfish: A great sight fishing target often seen tailing in
inches of water. They are bottom feeders fond of shrimp and
crab although will readily eat mullet and other live baitfish.
These fish are known for a characteristic single or multiple
spots on their tail.
Tarpon: Known as the Silver King of the Flats, Tarpon are one
of the most sought after fish in South Florida. An amazing
fighter capable of multiple jumps and long runs. Their diet
consists of shrimp, crabs, and finfish. Sharp hooks and smooth
drags are a must when tarpon fishing.
Trout: Often found in schools in grass flats. These are
bottom feeders but will hit surface baits such as topwater
plugs. Trout are attracted to noise and color and will
readily eat shrimp on a popping cork.
Bonefish: The Grey Ghost of the Flats. Bonefish are found
on shallow sand and grass flats. They are sight fished by
spotting their tails as they feed on the bottom. May be seen in
schools on tidal flats foraging for shrimp, crabs and other
crustaceans.
other Species: on our hunt for the glamour targets of the
flats we will encounter many other fish found in South
Florida Waters. These may include Cobia, Black Drum,
Snapper, Sheephead, Goliath Grouper, Tripletail, Barracuda,
Jacks, Bluefish, and spanish Mackerel.
Shark: The ultimate flats predator. Sharks are a challenge
on any tackle. They will hit live and artificial baits and are
often found patroling flats in search of baitfish.
